Victoria University Secondary College has a long-standing partnership with The Beacon Foundation. The vision of the Beacon Foundation is “An Australia that understands, cares and is motivated to support young people successfully transition to further education or meaningful employment”. The Beacon Foundation provides opportunities for our students to work with, and learn from, successful business leaders and mentors. It also provides the opportunity for our Year 10 students to nominate to be Beacon Student Ambassadors to host professional visitors at the college and be a representative for students.

After an interview process, with a group of strong candidates, the 2016 Beacon Student Ambassadors are:

Steven Ho (10E), David Ly (10D), Karanita Seve (10B), Cheylee Fiddler (10D) and Kimie Chua (10E).

Congratulations to these students for modelling all three of our College values ‘Aspire to Achieve’, ‘Strengthen the Community’ and ‘Respect Ourselves and Others’ as they work towards helping their fellow students gain a deeper understanding of the world of work and careers.
