College Production – Hamlet

flyer-imageVUSC is proud to present Hamlet in conjunction with the Western Edge Youth Arts group on Thursday 13th October.

What would you do if you saw a ghost?

  • Hamlet 2016 is a modern language, interactive performance that sets Shakespeare’s most famous play in St Albans in 2016. Hamlet is the captain of the girls’ soccer team. Her father was the coach. Now he’s dead and his ghost is on the loose. But why is this happening?
  • Featuring Samoan language, innovative projection technology, poetic text written by school drama teacher Casey Nicholls and the cast, jokes, skulls and a female Hamlet, this is Shakespeare brought right up to date.
  • Hamlet 2016 is a partnership between VUSC and Western Edge Youth Arts, a leading Victorian youth arts company with a unique track-record of cutting edge youth driven performances in Melbourne’s west.

This is a free event. Tickets are available at the general office at both the Junior and Senior Campuses.

The performance starts at 7.00pm at the VUSC Drama Centre, Senior Campus, 5a Jamieson St, St Albans.
