The last two weeks of Term 1 was very busy in the VUSC Music Department! Students from the VCE Year 11 and 12 class went on an excursion on Monday 18th March, during the evening to see Top Class Music. They were given the opportunity to see performances from students who achieved a VCE Music Performance study score of fifty (perfect score). The concert took place in the beautiful Melbourne Recital Centre and the class dressed to impress!
The Year 7, 8 and 9 combined Honours Band, conducted by our band leader, Mr Adam Grech, performed at our VUSC Year 7 Open House evening. The students entertained prospective parents upon their arrival at the College, with exciting arrangements of popular tunes. The rousing applause at the conclusion of the performance indicated that their hard work in rehearsal had paid off!
Students from the Senior Campus participated in a lunchtime performance on Friday 22nd March as part of Anti-Bullying day, led by Mr Nguyen Pham and Miss Orford. Students from Years 10-12 entertained fellow students and staff with uplifting songs. This brought a lot of cheer into the community on such an important occasion.
Well done to our Music students for modelling all of our College values this term! Please enjoy the gallery below.
