Victoria University Secondary College offers a comprehensive interschool sport program in partnership with School Sport Victoria, Keilor Division.

Students may select from the following sports:

  • Cross Country
  • Athletics
  • Badminton
  • Lawn Bowls
  • Netball
  • Soccer / Futsal
  • AFL
  • Touch Football
  • Basketball

Interschool sport provides opportunities for students to develop skills through a program of training and competitive experiences, connecting students to the wider community and promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Competitions are generally held for the following team structures: Year 7 Boys, Year 7 Girls, Year 8 Boys, Year 8 Girls, Intermediate Boys (Years 9 and 10), Intermediate Girls (Years 9 and 10), Senior Boys (Years 11 and 12) and Senior Girls (Years 11 and 12). There can be slight variations in the age groups due to the number of students participating.

Students compete against seven other schools in the Keilor Division with the winning teams progressing to the Western Metropolitan Region competition and then State Finals.

The interschool sport timetable can be obtained from the Sports Coordinator at each campus.
