Camps & Excursions
Camps and excursions are an integral part of the school curriculum as they enable students to explore, extend and enrich their learning and their social skills development, in a non-school setting.
Camps and excursions encourage students to develop teamwork and leadership skills, resilience, resourcefulness, independence and cooperation. They enable students to learn, share experiences and cement friendships in a fun and engaging way.
Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school events, camps and sporting activities for their children.
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors, excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works and sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund ensures that every student will have the opportunity to join their classmates for these important, educational and fun activities.
If you have a valid means-tested concession card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The funds are paid to the college for each year of eligibility for parents/guardians to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
To apply, visit one of our campus Administration Offices with your concession details and ask for an application form.
If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
